i'm gonna buy a new road bike here really soon. i'm leaning towards the specialized allez a1. please give me some more suggestions!!! thanks.

Those criteria could be contradictory.

Remember: light - durable - cheap <-- pick two

Nonetheless, the Allez is likely a good buy.

the Giant OCR line is a great value. Light frames...low dollars. Probably the OCR 2 or 3

I'm wondering if you might want to open up your criteria a bit to include stuff like, ride quality, comfort and components, and quality. Not that light is necessarily mutually exclusive with those qualities, but at that price point something has to give.
