CamelBacks---I gotta ask this ques....Tim

So, I got my CamelBack, and I'm out on the streets, and as this foot long drinking tube is dangling out to my side, I'm thinking "this is really annoying." What do you all do? Do you keep it in your mouth during an entire trip, or let it dangle out of the CamelBack?

I'd get the "tube director", which is a sheath that both insulates and firms up the tube, allowing you to place it where you want.

They also make a clip that allows you to clip the tube where you want.

Consider cutting most of the unneeded tube off - I did.

I didn't want to do surgery to shorten the tube. Instead I tied a simple single thumb knot loosely in the tube where it is located inside of the pack. It shortens the length perfectly, and if done right it won't cut off the flow. Play around with it and see if it works for you.
tuck the tube through the strapkenyee

The strap has a thin black strap part you can tuck the drink portion through. Then tuck the rest of the tube in the bladder area.
I had limited success with that...Tig

The tube kept pulling out of the bladder area and hanging out too far. That's why the knot in the tube works for me. Mine is a Camelbak Rogue model. I'm sure there's plenty of different ways to solve this. What you suggest works on my older simpler Camelbaks.

That's probably why it works on mine...
Double-sided hook-n-loop strap ...Humma Hah

Go down to the hardware store, look for a type of hook'n'loop strap that is hook on one side, loop on the other, in 6" strips in a variety of colors. Wrap this around a strap of the pack to hold the tube.

Isn't there a clip to clip it to your shirt?
