|I lucked out and am going to be in San Francisco this weekend. I am hoping to get something signed by Lance. I imagine it will be pretty tough. Does anyone have any info/tips that will help me get access to The Man? Perhaps like where and when press conferences will be or other scheduled events other than the actual race. Thanks in advance for the help.|

|I'll be in the same boat. Gonna take my tdf velo news and a pen and hang out by the start/finish and hope for the best. Good luck!|

|best bet is to find the team tents/compounds before the race... the riders may or may not be warming up, hanging out, chowing down energy bars, etc. This worked great for me at the world championships a few years ago, but they had no security and who knows what there will be in SF. And od course, there will probably be about 1/2 million others with the same idea! It if were me, I'd go find Fred Rodriguez and ask him why he is riding for a Division II Slovakian team that is based in Italy instead of Domo!|

|Not lying, I have 5? signed items from Lance over the past several years. Jersey, posters, pics. You want an autograph? Raise 5K for the LAF, go to Austin and meet the man!! You get to go for a ride with him and many other cycling greats.|

|I heard he's going to be autographing his book (and maybe other stuff?) at Stacey's book store in San Francisco today.
Sorry, it may be too late already, but I thought I'd mention it because you asked.

|Try giving him a present. Maybe a beanie baby for the newborn(S) Sometimes a man's heart is in his kid's. I know mine is. GOOD LUCK> MCCL|

|LA won't be at the following week's BMC race in Houston, but 23 pro teams will, including some of USPS (Hincapie, Ekimov, etc.). My LBS has tight connections with Trek and has 250 reserved seats at the finish line and a VIP tent for them after the race. I also saw Cippo on the roster of racers, as well as O'Bee and gobs of others who are not at the Vuelta. Looks like a fun race to watch!
Next Tuesday the 11th, USPS will be doing their training ride with our club. You can bet I'll have a pocket camera along. I don't think these old bones will stay up with them for long once they hit 26 plus! I'll scan any decent photos and post 'em here.
