He wouldn't have to do that if he was still riding a Litespeed.

You're asking if this is a fake?

He's about 3 feet higher than he should be and his bike's pointing the wrong way.

Apart from that, its perfect...

Since the crowd is behind a barrier, we can assume that this picture (at least part of it) was taken in the last 1km of a stage. Can anyone point to any stage of the Tour where Ullrich and Armstrong were battling it out in the last km? Nope. On Alp d'huez Armstrong dropped the hammer several kms from the finish. The only stage where they finished together alone was the stage where Ulrich crashed, Lance waited and they finished together with Ullrich crossing first by desgin. Given this, I would have to conclude this is a bad fake.

Yes, it's most definitely a fake. The photo doctoring is somewhat amateur but the rest of the faux BBC site is fairly well done. The dead give away is that the web site address given isn't even close to the actual BBC web site address. In fact, the IP is owned by someone in Pennsylvania.

Quite amusing IMHO...
Definitely real.9WorCP

I've seen this before. He approaches his opponent from behind and then bunny hops onto his back. It's how he wins all his races and frankly I'm surprised that the race officials haven't done anything about it. Apparently it's not strictly against UCI rules and he gets away with it on a technicality.

In a deal cut about 10 minutes before this picture was taken, Bruyneel of Postal offered Pevenage and DT $4,573 US and a post-Tour bike-handling clinic put on by Armstrong for Ullrich in exchange for the Alpine piggy-back ride. The handling clinic was the clincher, as Pevenage was intent that his star rider not re-play his 2001 Tour foray into cyclocross.
Once again, Mike, very well played! LOL! (nm)RhodyRider

Does Option Performance of Santa Cruz know you've put an unmarked BBC spoof on their web site? BTW, don't quit your day job -- that photo is not a pro level work.
did anyone read the article?vanzutas

I know the Barometric chamber part was true, and the crystal meth part. But we all know Lance doesn't eat bacon.

I remember they had an article about Taiwanese girl who had a cell phone surgically removed from her virgina, with realistic X-ray pic at beginning. Article sited "kinky $ex go wrong".

puts a whole new meaning in phrase: "Call me"
