Commuted in to work today thinking: "maybe I should take armwarmers or a jacket". Nah, won't need 'em. WRONG! It's now 63f and falling. Just checked the "weather bug" (a program that is really cool-you can download it free @ the AWS web site. Realtime or near-time weather while you are on line-great if you have dsl or a T3 connection.) Oh well, guess I'll ride hard and get good and hot?! Think I'll be skipping the post ride/pre-bed icecream!
It is not is COJONES...:-)nestorl

I regularly ride in sub-freezing temps in the winter WITH PROPER CLOTHING. Just had a summer jersey and shorts. Actually wasn't too bad. However, when it's summer you are used to warm temps and sub 60 FEELS cold. The "boys" didn't freeze and I had a beautiful ride today under clear blue skies, no wind, and no cars. Life is good.
Oh, no! 63?! Only 31 degrees above freezing? You call that cold?

Sorry to be sarcastic--I used to be a Southern California weenie, and in those days I thought 60 was cold. But where I live now, that's T-shirt and shorts weather. Legions of cyclists envy you right now, and millions more will by Halloween.

I live in the snowbelt, and sometimes on a dry winter day, I take my road bike out for a ride when it's in the single digits! Talk about freezing your b@ll$ off! You California wimps don't know what cold is!
