I've been noticing a night and day difference in my riding; literally. Whenever I go out in the morning, after having breakfast and streching a little, I feel fatigued and weak after a few miles. However, late at night, I'll go for a ride and I feel like I could ride forever. Is it just me?

Tim,

I just read an article recently on circadian rhythms and training. Seems like some people--like you
perhaps--have a 25 or 26 hour biological clock which makes them natural night owls. Does
this sound familiar? The other thing is that exercise efficiency, due to a number of normal physiological
factors, does tend to increase in the late afternoon and early evening. Most world records are
set during this period. There's probably not a lot you can do about this. Just go with the flow.
