|In this week's New Yorker Magazine:
There may be some who remember David Tesch, a frame builder who left Masi to start his own frame business in the late 80's. James Hogue, a drifter who stole $20,000 worth of frames from Tesch, The following year Tesch was accepted to Princeton University as an 18-year-old freshman - when he was 28 years old.

|I have a Tesch S-22 that I bought directly from Mr. Tesch in 1989 and is still going strong. I believe it was just shortly before the theft. I've always wondered what happened to him after that. What date is on that issue of the New Yorker? Their website does not show the article in the 9/3/01 issue.|

|Septemeber 3rd issue - The article is on page 72 and is called "The Runner".
BTW,, in my original post I wrote that Tesch was accepted into Princeton. That was a mistake, it was Hogue, the bicycle thief.
