What in the world did you guys do to the web output?

but the problem is that it was intermittent. It is quite maddening and really makes the board almost unusable. I talked to our engineering, but they were unable to find the source of the problem.

For some reason, this problem has stopped for me and we have no clue as to why. Please hang tight.

I also have the 8/30 version of Mozilla loaded and it's ok.
MSIE5.5 SP1 is also ok.

I support about 30 users at work. IE works on everything, but the newest Netscape is a pain.

Thanks for all the hard work you are putting into this site. The improvements are worth your efforts. Once people get used to the new layout, they will like it. Resistance to change is a tough one to overcome!

Jeez, Gregg, you must have been busy this week, changing over both RBR and MTBR at the same time.

Personally, I like both boards better now.

netscape and if I come onto the site with java on the font size is very small. If I come onto it with java turned off the font size is what I've set it to in preferences. STRANGE!

Last time I checked Microsoft was winning the war on world computer domination and has been found guilty of monopolisitc business practices. Billy G. has more money/assets than God. If it were up to him we'd do everything his way and innovation would be stiffled.

Netscape started out as it's own entity and can arguable claim invention of the web browser (going back to Mosaic) before secumbing to the reality of business pressure and was sold.

Someone has to stand up for the little guys. ;-)

Mozilla is really much like Netscape 6.0, so for all purposes I'm using Netscape.

Rant start...

It would be really easy to determine the answer to this question by looking at the web server logs. I'm sure there plenty of people who use IE at work and NS at home (for example) who can't answer this question with certainty.

If by chance there are specific NS and IE issues with the site, I encourage the developers to code to the least common denominator. I hope I'm never denied access to the site because I don't make use of MS-HTML.

Rant end...

...info specific to the message boards. Unfortunately, our stats only break up the users browsers for the whole site, and I was wondering if that is any different in here. By my estimates, it seems like the usage in here is somewhat less than the 23% shown for the overall site.
