Just give it time...we can give a better evaluation of the site in a week after they fix and get a handle on the bugs and kinks...

I have an idea. How about every one that is so passionately against the change back a new web site. We'll all be happy to use it as long as it's no skin off our back and, I'm sure we'll all let you know how we feel about your efforts.

Now that being said, Gregg I hope your server is either being atacked by some dope or that the changes have caused a problem that can be rectified, because it has taken me the better part of a half hour to go through just this post. I can't spend this much time here.
Oh well I'm going to go finish layin the light on the trusted steed and go for a long awaited voyage.

congregate? Tech Talk Forum would not be the place for you.

It is apparent that something is bothering you. Perhaps if you describe what it is, someone could
correct the problem. If that doesn't work, ask for your money back.

It's easy for people like you to sling disrespect online,
you're not looking in eye of people you label "inarticulate
whiners". I think these people are right in believing they've ruined a great website. Now you have to pony up a credit card to try and sell anything, that SUCKS and I'm sure they'll lose a majority of their patrons as they should.
Your point about charges may be a good one . . .DCW

Somehow I missed it in the original poster's "This site sucks ass (nm)" comment. Because it followed immediately upon the format changes, the comment could have been referring to that or any number of more specific or more general issues. That's the problem with such comments; they are inarticulate and the writer comes across as a spoiled cry-baby: as with crying babies, you get the idea that he (she?) is unhappy but have no idea why. That sort of comment is also typical of a lot of posters who flame or praise without substance or elaboration. I would not be sorry to see such posters find another place to congregate.

You are correct that I was slinging disrespect on line while not looking the poster in the eye. I got that idea from the poster himself. He seemed to think it was an appropriate tactic. Had I left it there, I would have been only slighly less guilty that he (at least the words "inarticulate" and "whiner" have some meaning). I followed it with a suggestion for JMO that might have resulted in a useful response from Gregg. I notice, for example, that Len J's thread above "Gregg, can you explain the changes. . ." elicited explanations and useful dialog.

By the way, why should those who seek to make some money by using this site (sellers of equipment) think that the classifieds should be free? There are other sites where they can advertise for free. If they are as effective then no harm done. If they are not, then maybe this site is offering something worth a small charge. Unless this site offers something for its charge, its ads will dwindle. If that is a problem for it, maybe it will reconsier. But it may be that it does offer a service worth three dollars for buyer and seller and the charge will be borne by the transaction and avoid free-riding on others.
