THIS NEW FORMAT SUCKS AND THANKS FOR NOTICING USbikerider

THIS NEW SITE FORMAT SUCKS!!! THE NAVIGATIONAL PATHS DO NOT MAKE SENSE AND THE EXISTING CLASSIFIEDS WERE ALL DELETED AND THERE ARE NO ARCHIVES TO VIEW. AND THANKS A LOT CONSUMER REVIEW NETWORK FOR NOTICING YOUR VIEWERS AHEAD OF TIME AND FOR SWITCHING ALL YOUR PHONE SYSTEMS TO VOICE MAIL WHEN I TRIED TO CALL THE CORP OFFICE TO MAKE A CONSUMER SUGGESTION. AND HAVING TO REGISTER TO JUST VIEW THE CLASSIFIEDS??? CAN'T YOU TRY GIVING OUT A FREE PROMO OR SOMETHING LESS RESTRICTIVE?? I WAS AN AVID VIEWER, BUT AFTER THIS, YOU WON'T SEE ME ON HERE ANYMORE. ANYWAY, WHEN I DID REGISTER, GUESS WHAT?? YOUR SYSTEM CAN'T AUTHENTICATE ME SO HOW DO YOU EXPECT CONSUMER CONFIDENCE WILL BE ON YOUR NEXT TAG THING.

ARE YOU HERE TO SUPPORT CONSUMERS OR WHAT???

REGARDS,

ONE OF MANY PISSED OFF VIEWERS

I can sympathize with wanting to switch to a more profitable business model. No issue with making people pay to list classified ads. But forcing people to register in order to VIEW the ads, well, we all know where that is heading. They intend to either sell the collected data, or to bombard us with unsolicited cross-sell offers.

Also, there really was no reason to turn the site design and navigation completely upside down and start all over. Why scrap what was, for the most part, a good thing? There is almost nothing significantly new in terms of content.

AND you scrapped all of our old classified ads, despite new ads being "free" til the 7th.

Notice that Yahoo is one of the most BLAND websites on the planet, yet the simplicity of the design WORKS, and people come back for more, again and again. Yahoo has EQUITY in their look and feel. Why can't you realize that you did too? Now you have to start at the bottom all over again. Shame

Font is too small. Hard to read. Running the monitor at 1280x1024 resolution. 19" monitor.

Maybe one of you web designers can explain why perfectly good web pages mutate into horrible monstrosities just when they get it right. CNN.com and now this site are great examples of unecessary tampering.

Here is a thought - if it aint broke, don't fix it!!

I'm with you on this one. Nothing wrong with the old system except somebody wasn't getting rich off of it!!!

This sucks. Obviously, they brought in some 20 year old "consultants" to re-write the whole thing to justify their salaries and in the process f*cked the whole thing. Way to go Devry grads!!!!!!!!!!!
FONT COLOR FOR MESSAGES ALREADY READjtolleson

The font size doesn't seem to be a problem for me, but it irks me that I can no longer see at a glance what I've read and what I haven't.

Before the change (B.C.) as I opened/read threads the items would change color, so on my next visit I could quickly tell what was new and what I had already read. Now, A.D. (After Disaster) I can't see a discernable visual difference between threads I have opened and those I haven't.

Even better would be to carry the color change into the viewed replies, so that you can scroll through the replies that you have already read, to the ones you haven't. Thanks.

...more than a few hours would ya? Everybody hates change, but changing the format isn't exactly earth-shaking. Things settle down again after a while. Gregg is a GREAT guy. He'll work with it/you/us.
