|Supergo had a couple (http://www.supergo.com), but you might also want to look at Univega's $1,300 bike, if there's a LBS that carries that brand in you area. Don't remember the model name, but it comes with Campy's 10-speed Daytona group (OK, gruppo). [Important disclaimer for Shimanophiles: Don't flame me. I have an Ultegra/105 mix]. Great frame (Columbus steel), too. Univegas might also be cheaper now that the brand is toast. |
Also, check Bicycling's Bike Finder site (http://www.bicycling.com). A good way to compare specs.
|Also Motobecane, but caveat emptor the frame (nm)||Elefantino|

... has Casati steel bikes with Ultegra for $1295, or KHS Flite 800 (also steel) with Ultegra for the same price. Other good deals elsewhere on the same website.
... has Cervelo Prodigy (also steel) with Ultegra for $1399. A very good frame, and a bit lighter than the two mentioned above.

|Wondering what the weight is on those bikes. |
Can I get a carbon fork and a 2.7 pound frame at that price range?

|Don't know about the close-out GT |
I would think you would be SOL if something happened.
Who has a lifetime warranty?
I heard that many companies have gotten rid of the "lifetime" warranty.
Is this true?

Both priced with Ultegra 9-speed and full build kits.

|REI has/had (I think I bought the last one) 01' Schwinn Fastback Pro w/ full Ultegra for $1099. You might find someone else who has it at that price. My LBS has them in stock and won't go any lower than 1700.
Good luck finding one. I just bought mine this afternoon. REI showed they had two in stock. One in Berkley and one in Seattle and I bought the Seatle one.
