Have a MB from the 1996 Atlanta Olympics...Spinchick

one of the many ridden around Olympic Village by the athletes. It has a BMW logo on it - not sure if it was made by or sponsored by BMW. It also has the 1996 US Olympic Games logo on it. Anyone know anything about it (like who really made it)? It's heavy as anything but rides pretty nice. I was able to pick it up for Hubby when I was working at the Olympics. He's very glad to have it as a collector's item but puts less than 50 miles a year on it.
There's one on eBay....with all the infoHamSammy

It listed the make as BMW. I guess it was made by BMW - just didn't know they made bikes (other than motorcycles).
Of course, the seller may have no idea either.....HamSammy

I am not sure who makes that particular one...but there are a grunch of car companies that are featuring bikes...Mercedes, Jeep, etc. They contract the bike to be made for them to a bike company, and no, not a name brand company...just an OK just lower than midline type of company. Example: a friend got the highest end Jeep mountain bike by using his points from his AmEx card. It's suppposed retail value was $600. It WEIGHS 49.5 lbs. When was the last time you saw a bike that cost $600 weigh 50 lbs? Get the idea?
Jeep is Huffy quality, Mercedes is very nice.raler
