The KG241 is not being made in 02'. The bike is probably an 01. The KG241 was not distributed in the US, but I believe the retail on the frame and fork was around $1,100-$1,200.

I paid $520 for the frame and fork from in the UK. The frame does retail for $1200 new. The complete bike with Campy Veloce components sells for $1750 at Saddlesore. Shipping is free but you'd have to pay 3.9% duty.

Thanks Dave,

I just bought it over E-Bay for $2,000 from a guy in Canada. I could still say no. Is yours for sure a 2002 model. The other guy who responded said they don't make 2002 KG241 models. The buyer said he got it from a rep. Does yours have the matching seat color, blue pedals too? All Campy Veloce? Do you really like it. In comparison to the Trek 5200, do you feel its a better bike or about the same? Thanks.

Mine is a 2001 model. I don't think LOOK's 2002 models are out yet. I bought just the frame/fork only. Mine is in Big Mat colors(red and white). I added my own components. It's a great bike so far. I just built it on Monday and have ridden about 75 miles. Tomorrow I plan on doing a long ride. I have three LOOK bikes so I'm probably not going to give you an objective opinion. I think they're great bikes. The one you bought is a complete LOOK bike. Go to
and you'll see the complete specs on your bike. Regarding the price, I've never seen better prices than and ordering from them would have cost you $1820, so the price you paid is not far off.

Dave is correct that Look's 02' bikes are not available yet, and the KG241 is not in the line-up. The KG361 will be the entry level carbon offering and will retail for $1,099. KG241 vs. ther Trek 5200, tough call. I rode a Trek 5200 before I switched to a KG281, soon to be upgraded to a KG381i. I really liked the Trek and have nothing bad to say about it, I just wanted something different. Once I bought the KG281 I really liked it. One nice thing about Look, when you show up for a group ride, there are not 10 other people with the same bike.

Ian, where are you getting your info on the 2002 models? As I said, I have three LOOKs(KG281,241, and 221). I can always use a fourth!

Insider info, some LBS's are just hearing about it. Visit your LBS who deals with Look, Sidi, Easton and Vredestein. They are all distributed by Veltec. They should be able to show you pictures and give availabilty.

But here are the highlights; KG381i, new high end frame. KG361, budget frame replaces the KG261. KX, large carbon tubes, stiffer and heavier than the KG frames. And the AL384, aluminum front triangle, carbon rear.

So which one will you choose?
