I'm considering buying a pair of these new shoes, and would like some feedback from anyone who has a pair. Do they hold up well? Are they comfortable and stiff, any alternative recommendations etc. Thanks for the help- Adam

I tried a pair on a the lbs, they were just as comfortable as my Sidi G3s,and I think I will buy the Nikes next year, that CF sole and the Italian workmanship really have made the Nikes a serious road shoe, with a serious price tag to match!

The carbon fiber sole on the Nike is made by a company in China (made in Italy? yeah right!) called DMT. They make the soles for the Nike and Shimano shoes and one other company I can't recall right now. Take a look at a Nike shoe next to a Shimano shoe, the sole is exactly the same, well, except for that "OCLV" sticker on the Nike. As far as the uppers go, the Nike's are the biggest P.O.S. I have ever seen. The material is cheap and missing some important features (molded heel cup). I would recommend nearly any other shoe on the market over the Nike's.
