|Sorry guys, but I'm getting overstimulated at this point!
Calfee shipped my frame yesterday and they're only a day away via UPS.
They took the frame out in the sun to check out the ChromaLusion color shifting paint job (Coarse Blasberry over raw carbon weave) and said that it was one of the prettiest frames they'd ever seen. Dean (their tandem specialist) qualified this with the comment that "many of our paint jobs are "different" but not what I'd call beautiful."
The LBS has most of the parts waiting in a box, and I'm aiming for a Sept. 2 break in ride with the club.

|I'd ordered 2 ounces of dilute phosphoric acid solution, about 2% (roughly the concentration of phosphoric acid in a Coke). So, of course, the driver had the HazMat placard on the truck.
The local HazMat team has sealed off the area, and is preparing to dispose of all contents of the truck as hazardous waste.

|But luckily I'm covered by a 25 year warranty and I won't even have to deal with taking the parts off! But that's acadwemic, 'cause I opted for the additional lead foil/aramid/tungsten-carbide wrapping which is bulletproof in addition to being impervious to Gorgonzola fumes! Yeah! And I also hired aaaaa personal security guard,.. YEAH! His name is Sloan or something... DOUG, that's the ticket!
Yeah...He carries mace an everything! And he can kick REAL HARD!

|Congratulations on your tandem! Just curious--what was the production time for your Calfee? I ordered a Tetra Pro two weeks ago and was promised delivery in about 4-5 weeks, including the time required to apply custom paint. Did Calfee deliver within their promised time frame? Thanks.|

|Thank you. Lead time ran about 8 weeks including custom paint. I was impressed with their responsiveness to my million calls, and Craig himself was even accessible. Stella, the sales gal was a bit misleading a couple of times, but she's in SALES, so that's to be expected. Send her a (real) bagel and she'll be all over your order.
Joe's bicycle painting is interesting. English is his second language, and we wanted a non-stock color from a source that he didn't normally use (DuPont Vs PPG) but we got it all worked out eventually.
Good luck and post a jpg. when it's all done!
