Overlap or not to overlap?TrekMan

Hi all, I'm about to put some Velox rim tape on my wheels and was wondering if I should butt the two ends of the tape together or should I use enough of the tape so that it overlaps a bit? By the way the guy in my lbs said to put a layer of electrical tape on the rim first, is this going to be ok with the rim tape?

.. a bit of overlap (an inch is fine)... and forget about the electrical tape... seems redundant to me.

Did you finish building your GT Vengeance? How do you like it? I've got about 200 miles on mine and I love it.

It might get it's baptism tonight! I've got a P2K that I want to race, but will take the GT along and see how it handles on a practice run... who knows, maybe I'll use it instead!
