Cannondale has maintained the quality shown in the tests. Very impressive.

|Read it before. Good article. Sure does make you question the "urban legends about trek Carbon being a frame you buy for the short term.
Notice the date of the study, 1997. I'd love to see an updated one using today's most popular frames. Trek OCLV 120, Cannondale Caad5 & 6, Lightspeed Ultimate, Classic & Tuscany, Look Giant etc. It might yield some results that would surprise people.

|http://www.efbe.de/erenn.html is the homepage of these tests. They include some newer frames (latest tests 2001, including the CAAD4 and 5 models) and a weight vs. durability table. Both the CAAD4 and 5 passed the top load tests. I read in a different article that the bottom bracket in these was not as stiff as the CAAD3, though.|| |
