Does anyone out there have any experience buying a bike thru
this website, where the shipping is from Canada to the US. We can't find a carrier to ship the bike C.O.D. Does anyone have an idea how to complete this transaction so both parties' investment can be protected??

We got around that by sending it to a friend in NY. Then he drove down to get it. I've bought and sold over the net. I've never used COD. I've always used-send a check/send item/item approved/deposit check. Buyer bears return shipping costs if item is rejected. This has always worked for me. I got to great lengths describing and digitizing the item. I'm sure this system has been fouled up by some folks. When in doubt, I'd try to get a bike shop to handle the transaction or don't do it at all.

I did buy a cracked frame this way, but it was my fault for not really looking at it when I got it. It was over a year later before I started to build it. It's been welded and powdercoated and looks great now.
