|Where is the "official" list of banned drugs?
I hear of people taking cold meds and then testing positived for banned substances... what do people do with actual prescribed meds that they have to take all the time..for example, asthma.
Please tell me that my asthma has not ruined my chances of turning pro!! hahaha

|Check with the UCI or the IOC for lists of banned substances. Most sport governing bodies will supply these documents fairly freely.
As for your asthma medication, I'm sure it is on the banned list. That doesn't disqualify you though. You would just have to go through the appropriate medical channels with your organization to get permission based upon your condition. I've helped people get permission on grounds such as these.

|on the banned list - USCF and UCI both. I'm told it's because it acts as a stimulant. However, you can send a Dr. note in with your license and it will be noted in your file (somewhere, god only knows with the Feds, but that's another rant).
My asthma was pretty mild, so I just weaned myself off the inhalers - too lazy to go the Dr. route.
