It's like a virus. Now he's on the cyclingforum.com site!

He won't last long over at cyclingforum. The regulars over there are much better at resisting the temptation to respond to flame-bait or even just the occasional goofball than we are at RBR. My guess is that the folks over there will let his post drop like a hot rock. We are the home of misfits, malcontents, poets, trolls, cynics, mystics, musicologists, fish taco-eaters, dogs, and monkeys. Isn't it nice?

Just checked and so far you are right. Nobody has responded yet. Maybe we should take this as a lesson in how not to feed the trolls?
I think they are cute. nmMB1

Hey wait a minute, I like mystics and fish tacos! Seriously...what happened to the "administrator alert" function at the bottom of the page? You used to be able to notify the site administrator and he/she would delete all the offensive and flame baiting posts. Or is this forum just in a downtail spin???

I don't think we're going to get much help from the forum administrator these days. BTW, I like most of the things on my list and was not really complaining. The general quality of posts on the forum goes up and down, but the good people (almost) always stick around and continue to contribute quality information. Please don't let recent events convince you to stop or cut back on your posts.

My brain is not engaging today. Air quality up here in the hinter lands is bad. I went for a ride yesterday and the air was lousy due to the forest fire over in Georgetown. Today I paid, headache and brain fatique. Maybe I should have said "downward spiral". I dunno, sometimes I get stuck in the middle of writing something and my mind goes completely blank. Blame it on old age I guess. Growing old is not for sissies...
that's what I like about RBRbianchi boy

Cyclingforum is a good source of info but can get awfully boring. I like the occasional -- OK, continual -- wackiness of RBR. I don't take any of this too seriously, even if I'm the object of flaming. Hey, I even enjoy Trollman's Bob-Dole-speak and Grz mnky's sarcasm. We're also the home of newbies, freds, donut-aholics, numb-nuts, bike pollsters, cycle+ fanatics, ...

BTW, has anyone visited the forums at www.bicycling.com -- the website of the much-reviled magazine? The forums there are unbelievably polite. If you can't take the occasional raunchiness and rudeness here, their forums are actually quite helpful and friendly.
I'm with you, brother (nm)mike mcmahon
