I grew up racing with the front brake on the right.Now I am getting back to cycling and notice it is not popular,any thoughts? tj

Just have to be very careful when it comes to swapping rides with your buds.

Mostly frt. brake/ right is to allow both rear wheel braking and cassette shifting in a turn. Usually for crit racing or former motorcyclists, not general road riding.

I used to have a motorcycle. Motorcycles have the front brake on the right. To be consistant, I changed my bicycles (road & mtb) to right front brakes. Even after I sold my motorcycle I kept my bikes as right front.
