|Picked this up from the foreign film section at the video store, a Canadian (French language) flick called "2 Seconds". It's about a female downhill MTB racer who loses her sponsorship and goes home to become a bike messenger. She finds a small LBS one day with THE CRANKIEST owner ever. Italian ex-racer who abuses the heck out of everyone, he figures if they come back they're serious. But the great thing about the movie was how it conveyed her sheer love of cycling (like Pee Wee's love of his bike. Made me want to go ride, which is what you want in a bike movie, right?

|This movie is great! It conveys everyones idealistic love of riding like no other movie has done so far (that I've seen). Sure it's not about racing or road bikes in general, but it is about bikes and the sheer joy of riding. One funny quirk about the girl is that she becomes a bike messenger and her boss is always calling her on her radio asking where she is and she ends up way out in the boonies because she "forgot to stop." It's so great!
Any other good bike movies out there? I know of "Quicksilver" with Kevin Bacon and I remember an old movie about a road cyclist who was training for some big race. But the only thing I remember about him was that he was training on rollers in front of a house window or a restaurant window. Anyone know the name of this movie? It's older. And then there's always Pee Wee!
