I'm considering purchasing a Lemond Ti GL 57cm frame. Does anyone here know it's approximate weight? Also how does it stand up to some of the other ti frames out there?

He should have the frame weights discussed at the Lemond website http://www.lemondbikes.com. I think from a weight perspective it's comparable to most other Ti bikes out there - Litespeed, Merlin ..etc... With Lemond you are getting a longer than usual Top Tube size for a given fram size. Fo example, I can fit a 59 Litespeed Ti, but for a Lemond Ti I fit a 57 frame. Also, Lemond tubing for the most part in his Ti bikes is classic round shaped tubes. He does flare the tubes into oval shapes where the top tube meets the steerer tube and where the down tube meets the bottom bracket. Overall, it a very old-school Euro typr of frame geometry, IMO one of the best in the business.

I wondered the same thing and e-mailed LeMond (the company, not the man). I was told that they didn't know the weight of a 57, but that a 55 checked in at 3.1 lbs. The LeMond looked like a great bargain in Ti. Supergo was selling them in store for 2499 w/Ultegra set-up. Good luck w/the choice.
