Has the the Ultegra lever problem been fixed in 2001?9WorCP

Perennial issue I know. Having read the re: post below, this is the one and only issue I associate w/ this group. I'm a happy owner but yeah, I have the problem. Actually, it's not the caps but the right shifting lever that has come loose. I just guard the sucker w/ my index finger over the rough stuff to hide offending rattles. Other than that, no real problems or complaints. Does this complaint go on and on? BTW, does anyone own the '99 - '00 group and not have this irritating malady?
I have 2001 Ultegra and haven't had this problem yet (nm)JL

I have about 1,000 miles on my 2001 Ultegra Group and haven't noticed any problems.
No problems in 1st 850 miles, fwiw (nm)Rich Clark

Had a screw/spring/something fall out at around 2,000-2,300 miles. Could only shift in one direction. LBS got a replacement shifter from Trek as bike is still under warranty.
