I don't, but am considering it. Many folks it our club swear by it.

Been using frogs for about a year on my Sidi shoes. (About 6,000 miles including Calfiornia Aids Ride and several centuries.) Love 'em. Good float (I have a rebuilt knee) and they are the easiest shoe to clip and unclip. Recessed cleats are easy for walking.

Yes, I do. I had gotten them for my mountain bike quite awhile ago and did'nt want to have to keep up with multiple pairs of shoes. They work great.
Mountain shoes only?nova

Is it reasonable to expect to put the cleats on road shoes? Or is it a mountain-shoe-only proposition?

I beleive than you may as well get the speedplay X-2's. If you put the Speedplay Frogs on a road shoe they would'nt be recessed at all and would have the same trouble (or worse, the Frog cleats are slippery and small) walking around in road shoes/cleats. I have found the Frog cleats to be pretty susceptible to walking damage even in a recessed mountain shoe too....

I've seen it done a lot of times, works fine. There are three different reasons I know of why people have done this:

(1) Friend of mine has big/wide feet. The shoes he found the most comfortable were offroad/touring shoes which accepted the frog cleats.

(2) Another friend wanted recessed cleats for walking, ended up with the same brand of shoes as pizza-feet above.

(3) Many MTBr's around here use the frogs off-road, and have put them on their road bike (secondary steed) so they don't need two pairs of shoes.

Go fer it!

Have used Ti frogs for 2 yrs now, and I love them. Need Mtn shoes, but there are some pretty stiff ones. I use them because I like being able to walk reasonably well. The cleats have held up well in Shimano shoes (which will be replaced) over lots of rough walking terrain. (I do a week tour each year and walk over gravel, etc. getting to and from camp sites.) I also like them because I often ride alone in remote areas and I could have to walk a fair distance if I had an equipment failure/crash - not sure I'd like the walk in road shoes/cleats. Ti frogs weigh nothing, too...
re: Speedplay Frogs on Road Bike? Maybe Frogs to Coombe!Monte2

I'v used the Frogs for about a year now. I switched from the X-2s. I had a bad experience with the X-2s when I was forced to put a foot down in some thick mud while riding on a path. I spent the next 30 minutes tearing down my cleat, cleaning the darn thing and then rebuilding it. Once X-2s get mud in the cleat, they will not under any circumstance re-engage. I went out and got the Frogs the next day and have been fairly happy with them, but I'm really drawn to trying the Coombe pedal system. I won't go into the details, but they seem to be the next step in the natural evolution of the Speedplays.
