There are a couple of rides.

1. Redlands bike club meets at 7:00 am at Grounds for Enjoyment, a coffee shop located at corner of Barton Road and Alabama. There are at least two separate groups, sometimes three. Fastest group will typically do 50 to 75 miles, avg. pace around 18 mph or so. Slower group(s) will usually do less distance. There's a shorter club ride from the same location, same time, on Sunday as well.

This Saturday (8/18) they're planning on riding to the beach. See details at http://www.rwbtc.org.

2. In nearby Riverside, there's the Raincross ride (named after a defunct bike shop) on Saturday morning as well. Near downtown Riverside on Central Avenue, next to the public library, across the street from the Automobile Club of Southern California building. This is a short (35 miles or so) hammerfest, usually 30-40 riders. Almost all are racers, ranging from Masters and 5's to 2's, with the occasional Cat 1 or pro just to make the rest of us suffer.

There's a race in nearby Yorba Linda this Saturday, so that may affect the Riverside ride. Some will be at the race, others with a later start may be using the ride for a warmup. That might take the edge off the ride -- or maybe not.
