Hey Fellers, I'm back!dirtbag

As some of you may recall, I posted a couple of days ago with the topic: You roadies dont like us cuz... You might say that this message was in retaliation for a post on the website that I normally read. This post was written by or someone posing as a roadie and said that ATB people give the entire bicycling community a bad name. I tossed this message over as a joke and did not expect to be honored with so many responses. Most were from folks who think as I do, saying that it is stupid (the friction between roadies and ATBers)and that they do'nt "get" it either. I believe that this is a flaw in human character to dislike one because they are different from us or have different interests, this goes back to earley times when one cave man did'nt like another cave man because he lived in a cave on a different hill. Another reply came from a gent who jotted a few lyrics to a 60's song recorded by The Youngbloods, thanks for the plesant childhood memory brother, actually I had a "road" bike then but we called them "10 speed's". There were the one-word replys:Speed, I say "Downhill Event". Clenliness, I say "shower". Style, The Mullitt was once a style. There was the guy with the funny little anti-everybody verses, the first two or three were funny, then it got old, here's a guy with wwwaaayyy too much time on his hands! My favorite was from the arrogant twirp who introduced me to his dictionary assuming that I was an illiteriate goober because I wrote in the dialect of my native south. This must have been the guy that I crossed paths with a couple of weeks ago on the paved trail, I was covered with sweet mother earth and stopped for traffic, he pulled up, I said "mornin" and he actually sneered and sped off! Yeah, right here buddy! Anyway, I'm gonna go sling some dirt now, yall enjoy your ride today, but dictionary man, I hope that you are afflicted with saddle induced erectile dysfunction!

Easy big guy. Just go ride your bike, and stop wasting your hate on such petty differences as what type of bike someone may ride.

I have ridden both road and MTB since '85, so I have seen the growing friction between the two disciplines. Too bad. Must be human nature. I love both kinds of riding and racing, as many others do.

If you ticked off some people, it was most likely due to what I call the "go to someone's house and pee on their sofa" syndrome. Sure, the two groups may not see eye to eye, but if someone perceives a direct attack, you will see them react. All the same, we should not get upset with anyone's posts. When in doubt, go out and ride!

To bad about that voice, he might have had a nice career there.

I don't want your lonely mansion with a tear in every room. (Guess what I am listening to today.)
