I just need some help....i can't decide on wether to get a 1999 crown jewel frame with threaded steal fork (in good condition) or a new 2002 maillot jaune frame with threadless carbon fork. The lemond would be about a $100 cheaper. thanks
Which one fits better?Mike Prince

Both are good frames, although personally I'd go with the CJ if they both fit equally well. Not to knock the LeMond, but to me the IF will be better built as they are built one at a time by hand, where the LeMond is done on the Trek assembly lines. Either way you won't go wrong as they are both fine frames.

One thing to consider that the threaded fork on the IF will allow you to better fine tune your setup than the threadless setup on the LeMond. And the IF forks are very nice. Also, if the IF already has a headset installed, your $100 savings on the LeMond could quickly disappear.

Have fun!
All things being equal, $100 is so little to payJacko

I'd have to say the Indy Fab is a steal for the price difference. The attention to the bottom bracket area alone is worth more than $100. The sealed tubing easily makes up for the extra clams. The perfect welds along the seams will make you weep with joy. And the ride, oh my, the ride...

Can you tell I ride one ;) ?? Seriously, fit is everything. You'd be better off riding a tricycle that fits you well than any bike that fits you poorly. I hope the CJ fits!

Good luck.
