Carbon seatMonte2

I was at a bookstore the other day flipping through a Cycling Plus and saw a new all carbon saddle at 66g. The quick blurb indicated that the saddle was not only obscenely light but comfortable. It went on the indicate that the final product was the result of many attempts before getting the "formula" just right. Unfortunately I don't remember the name. Anyone heard of or try it? Anyone have a website of the manufacturer?

Try a German company called tune. Their saddle is all carbon, sub 100, but no 66. It looks pretty comfortable- Adam

The saddle is froma German company called AX Lightness and I think you saw on called the speedneedle, a track saddle, they make a road one too. They also make some crazy light seat posts. Jan Ullrich uses these saddles on his climbing bikes. And yes they make a 66 gram one, the sprint superlight.

Funny I was just on the Tune and Ax Lightness websites before coming here... crashed today and munched my SLR saddle and am looking to try something new. Has anyone ridden either the Tune Speedneedle or Ax Lightness Sprint? The Tune looks similar in shape to the Flite I've ridden but I think I'm interested in the Ax Lightness Sprint. (Check out the knew seatpost prototype they've got, 125 gr at 350 mm). Anyone know any US. stores who carry these? And yes, I saw one on Jan's climbing bike too.

I have sat on one of my customers but not "ridden" it. I tooled around the parking lot and ya, it's hard, it's carbon. But I had my regular shop shorts on at work. With GOOD short it should be fine. Bummer you can only get them over there. I think you can order direct from them. And the carg EUROS no funky concversions. I have order some stuff from a shop in switzerland and it got here in like 5-6 days. Good luck. Oh and if you get it and decide that you don't like it you should be able to sell it quick.
