|I am in the process of deciding which frame to replace a 1992 Trek 2300. The Trek is a 3 main tube carbon fiber frame with carbon fork.
Components are all Dura-Ace. So I will just swap to a new frame.
I've narrowed my choices down to a Litespeed Tuscany or a Trek 5500 OCLV. I ride weekdays approx. 25-30 miles per ride and a weekend ride approx. 50-100 miles. What would be most comfortable in the long run? On some of my routes, I have climbs lasting for 3-4 miles. Both frames are within my price range.
I have ridden an OCLV on a 40 mile ride and thought it was very comfortable and very stiff in the BB area. I have only tested out Ti bikes at the dealer. No long rides.
Any suggestions would be appriciated.
