thinking about getting a cool fade paint job on my carbon calfee. anyone know of any good painters in the colorado area? Or anywhere for that matter? I want a pretty pro looking job, and I know I may have to spend to get it. Any thoughts or experience on this?

Though I can't recall any names, Velonews has a classified section, in which I have seen frame painters. If you can't find anything there, consider perusing motorcycle, waterski and jetski journals. I have seen many custom paint schemes on those machines. Basically the same materials are required. Carbon Fibre requires the same methods to paint as fibreglass.

Check out www.joesbicyclepainting.com. Joe does the OEM paint for Calfee and also refinishes. For a more custom finishes, check out cyclart (www.cyclart.com), airglow (www.airglowpainting.com). You will undoubtedly find others with a quick search on the internet (google rules.)
