I found a link to a company that makes a pedal system I have not heard of before called a Coombe Pro Pedal. After looking through their website at http://www.coombe.com, the system appears like it has some advantages over my existing Speedplays. I like the "low profile" cleat, especially with my Sidi shoes; cornering ability; no springs, plastic or anything else to wear quickly; and the overall engineering. Anyone try and/or have these pedals? At $219.00, they are a bit pricey, but they do not look like they will wear out anytime soon.
I'm also curious about these pedalsHank

...in the past six months on this board looking for someone who's used them, but no responses so far. I agree, they look like a great system, with a much lower stack than Speedplay.

The coombe are cool looking pedals. I got my bebops in stead and love them as much flot as speedplay but lighter and lower stack height. Very cool
