|Now that I get to pretend to be a Bike Messenger...||mr tornado head|

|At my current employer, I've clients that I visit weekly and drop letters and stuff off at. Some are local and the store manager is happy to see me deliver on my bike since it saves him money (re: mileage) and I get it done in the same amount of time.
Since I've never done the messenger thing before, I am asking for help of any sort. I realize my road bike and look-style cleats are not the best for walking around office complexes - thus putting slicks on the old mtb for next week.
Can I claim mileage on the bike (obviously not at the same rate as a car. Not that it really matters, but...)? Best attire (you mean they think lycra is not cool?)? ANy help would be apreciated, and yes, I'm nosing around to find messenger.org. THANKS!
