|Track racing looks to be where my talents lie, but I am finding it really hard to find good info (I guess because there are so few velodromes). I would really appreciate any tips or resources that a fellow trackie could point me to.
-I'm looking for clubs in the DC area as well as equipment rules and manufacturers.
-Also looking for insight into the trackie experience from experienced trackies.
Thanks in advance.

|I don't suppose they've finally built a track out near Manassas, have they? Otherwise, be prepared to travel to race as the closest tracks are Trexlertown and New York. I don't recall any specific track clubs around DC, but there are a few individuals who ride track (I think they rode with Coppi's? Or was it Snow Valley?)
Couple of websites to check out: http://www.fatnick.com (he has a coaching resource section)
http://www.fixedgearfever.com (also coaching section plus for sale items.)
What is the track experience? Well, it'll improve your high end conditioning and smooth out your pedal style. You'll be more efficient and a better bike handler. This translates to the road, so the benefits don't stop at the track.
