Is it possible to adjust a triple to the point that it will not rub on the front derailleur in any gear?

No, it isn't possible to adjust the front derailler so that it won't run in any gear. The derailler will always contact in certain gear combinations. It isn't really needed that the chain not rub in all combos either because of repetitive gear ratios. I suspect that when your chain is rubbing on the front derailler it is because you are in gear combinations such at the big ring in front and largest cog in back, or the small ring up front and the smallest cog in back. This is called cross chaining. Cross chaining is hard on the drivetrain and increases wear and drivetrain friction. Cross chaining also puts you in gear combinations that can be found with less extreme chain angles. Instead of being in the big ring and large cog, try shifting down to the middle ring, and a cog more to the middle of the cassette. The resulting gear ratio will be the same, there will be no rubbing on the derailler, and less wear. Your problem is more one of finding more appropriate gear combinations than of derailler adjustment. Good luck.
