I bought a Gios Compact Pro built up from Excelsports about 6 weeks ago, and noticed in their latest catalogue that the frame was on sale for $100 off. On a lark, I called Excel today to see if they would credit me the difference between what I paid and the sale price. No questions asked, they credited my charge card $100. That's service.

As far as ordering and building the bike, I have nothing but good things to say about Excel. They were very helpful in picking out the right components, and will swap out any parts from their build kits. They also will let me swap components if I decide that I want a different stem, fork, etc., after riding the bike a while.
You're right - Excel is the best [nm]Leroy L

Did they take back those used bottles that you were gonna return?

Actually, I haven't tried yet because I am gonna swap stems and was gonna mail everything back at the same time. I have no doubt they will take them back, but it's not worth spending $5 on shipping for an item that only costs $12 (for both). It's really just the principle of the matter: Why would someone make a water bottle that sprays water all over your face when you drink out of it?

are you sure you just don't have the cap screwed down? those Elite bottles have a flip cap AND a screw cap, right?

ordered 7/11 via internet, $75 merchandise

shipped same day, usps priority mail

no delivery by 7/22, called 'em, they re-shipped 2-day ups

no delivery by 7/27, checked status online, they shipped to the wrong zip code. ups is attempting delivery 250 miles away. checked my e-mail confirmation from the original order, i supplied the correct zip code. somewhere somebody transposed it before mailing the first and shipping the second. called yesterday to tell 'em that my package is in another city, they said they'd fix it and it would be at my door today. we have yet to see.

this is my first (perhaps last) order with excel. 7/11 to 7/31: they charged my card promptly and i'm still without my stuff.

Found the Salsa quill stem I've been looking at for 20$+ cheaper than any where else. Got it and a set of bars for what some wanted for the stem alone. Prompt shipping too.
