I was just up outside of Carlisle visiting some friends and happened upon a bike shop called "Merv's Bike Shop". It was in between Carlisle and Shippensburg, but I couldn't begin to give you directions. The phone number is (717) 532-7066. He had a decent selection of Raleigh, Univega and Iron Horse and some used bikes, also. His prices looked pretty good compared to other bike shops I've seen.
If you're in the market for another bike, I think his shop would be worth the effort to find.

Thanks for the info. I'll be taking my girls to Carlisle the next 2 weeks and it will give me something to do (besides riding my bike!) while I wait for them in ballet school.

There is a shop in DuBois that is a Cannondale, Bianchi shop. A bit of a haul from Harriburg and no easy way to get there.

in the 70s I used to ride from Ship up to Roxbury, thru the gap into Perry Co. thru Aluta and back down thru Doubling Gap, thru Carlisle, past the Carlisle Tire plant (should've bought a gross of whitewall 2.125s to sell on e-bay!) and back to Ship. Nice route, probably more built up than it was then. Hey your name sounds familiar, I think I might have ridden with you a time or two back then. You with the club outa Harrisburg, right?
