Tour de France points of interestpeloton

I was thinking of a few points that made this Tour noteworthy in history.

-Lance's third win, what else needs to be said?

-Jalabert's mallot pois: In the past he has also won the green jersey competition. How many people can do that? Who was the last to do it? Merkx maybe?

-Zabel's record setting sixth consecutive green jersey. That record may stand for a while, unless Eric extends it next year.

-No Italian stage victories! Mama mia

-Big Mat's incredible tour showing. What a force. ;)

-Last person to win both the overall and L'Alpe d'Huez was Fauto Coppi, and now Lance Armstrong.

-Biggest comeback since WWII to win the Tour- from 35 minutes back to 7 ahead.

A pretty exciting and noteworthy TDF I think. Did I miss anything?

Little Drama But Tour Continues Slow Recovery -- from Yahoo Sports. The American media is sooooo weeeeeeak!

Such a great Tour! Crazy weather, crashes, a 35 min. breakaway, 4 stage wins for Armstrong, Kelme winning team contest after losing two stars, Tyler going over to CSC, Team trial USPS crash and recovery...i'm sure there's more. I was glued to OLN!
