Helmet Limar F107 or Giro PneumoBirddog

I'm in the market for a new helmet and I'm down to the Limar F107 and the Giro Pneumo. The Limar fits a lttle better but the Pneumo has more empty space (hence possible cooling). I'm a classic overheater and I definitely need more "cool factor". The Limar has 23 vents and will be a big improvement over what I have, but the Pneumo has even more vent space. Has anyone owned or used both? which is coolest? I've read all the marketing hype, I'd just like to know if there is that much difference between the two. If you have either one, give me some pros and cons.

First off, let me say that I own the Pneumo. And I owned the Boreas before that. And the Helios before that. So, secondly, if you have not guessed, I am a huge Giro fan. And as awesome as I feel the Pneumo is, and as much as I can preach its virtues, if the Limar fits your head better, I would recommend that you go with the Limar. Just as with shoes, fit is the most important thing.

I went through the same thing a few months ago - I really liked the looks of the Pneumo (even took home one with the USPS color scheme!), but when I put on a size that was snug front to back on my head, I could literally stick my hand up the side of the helmet - I could also practically rotate it on my head - I guess if you have a really round head, the Pneumo would work great. The Limar fit much better, so I ended up going with an F107+ - keeps my head pretty cool (and I am in central TX where we have been at 100+ for something like 17 days in a row, now...) - overall, I really like it!

I have the F107 and like you it fit my head better than the Giro so....... I also like their adjustment more than the giro (kind of like a baseball hat). It seems to fit over that little knot on the back of your head and stays below it, plus i guess being picky the limar comes with that cool little sweat thing on the chin strap, something that could shurly be added to the Giro for no $, Noticed that it dosen't chaif like my old helmet. Again a little picky, but it is the little things that make the difference when your on the fence.........

I don't know if you would be interested, but you can order a Limar 107 Helmet directly from their web site for under $90. This is even after the shipping from Europe to the states. Their website is
