I am thinking about buying a trek mountain bike I believe it is an 800 sport, I have a bike now that I bought in toys r us about five years ago, that I outgrew which is why I am thinking about a better bike. Please let me know what you think of this bike as I want to purchase a good one that will last

I had one of them, it felt like it weighted more than me! Save your money and get something further up the food chain, or better still a road bike!
NEVER BUY A BIKE FROM A TOY STOREjtolleson

Not for you, and not for your kid. Good manufacturers sold at real bike shops make small bikes. Cost a little more, but can be repaired
(many bike shops won't even attempt to repair "toy" bikes). Saw a rider on a Huffy on a road tour try to crank uphill and twist the rear derailleur clean off. And no roadside repair van could help.

Bikes are not toys. They are bikes. And breakage while in motion can KILL PEOPLE. Never buy a bike at a toy store.
