Just got a new 2001 Bianchi Talladega w/ Ultegra triple gruppo. I'm getting chain rub against the inside of the front derailleur when running my 52 tooth ring and any gear larger than my 15 tooth cog (4th of 9). I'm also getting chain rub when running 30 tooth ring and any gear smaller than my 17 tooth cog (5th of 9). Is this usual or do I need an adjustment? If it's an adjustment, do I need to spread the derailleur cage since it rubs in both directions?
front derailleur alignment? (in any case, take it back)cory

Dealer ought to adjust that out. If you bought it mail order or something, it sounds like a careful adjustment ought to get rid of it...I mean, they don't ALL do that, so something must be askew with yours.

You have to set the limit screw properly along with resetting your cable tension.
