I really don't see why it is distracting, but I'm aware that some people can't chew gum and walk at the same time so maybe it can be confusing to some. It is either that or you just don't have anything really interesting going on that you need to pick on lil' ol' me! Ok dug? :-)

You're just trying to draw attention to yourself using a gimic to make up for content.

I didn't realize this was such a problem for some of you.Live Steam

I used the arrows to follow threads I contributed to. It wasn't meant to draw attention to. I just used them so I could pick up those threads quickly while I worked. As for any contributions I have made to this forum over the last two years, I always tried to helpful, friendly and informative. If any of you feel differently I can't help that. Again I didn't realize they were distracting.

I don't really care one way or the other. Maybe a little waste of electons, if you asked me. Just offering up a little compromise. It's almost become your signature, so >>>>>>>>>>>> ahead for all I care. That's about the least of our worries. :-)

(Scary thought. :-))

You're putting it in there to stand out so you can find it. That means it stands out for us also. So some of us may view that as inconsiderate, as it's hard on our eyes. And if we all did the same to gain the same advantage as you, the forum would look horrible. Think about it. We could have

See what I mean?

Funny, but until this came out, I thought your use of the >>>>>>>>>>>> was to mimic the "Steam" in your name. I always thought it was too conspicuous, but never said anything. Are we making too big a deal of this? Well, maybe. And nothing personal; the contents of your posts (if not your titles) are appreciated. But if you'd like to show that extra consideration, there is a reasonable alternative: just do a "find" on Steam and repeatedly click to find your posts.

and I made it quite politely, unlike this response of yours today. You have posted to other threads since Sunday, so this technique of yours doesn't seem to be all that effective.

Why don't you try doing what the rest of us do and just remember the threads that you find interesting enough to contribute to? It's pretty easy really, and it makes the subjects less cluttered with irrelevant data. A lot of posters here seem to like to use the subject line in lieu of a message body, so junking them up with hieroglyphics really does degrade communications.
You are all correct. And yes you did point this out the otherLive Steam

day. I didn't realize how insensative I have been to the participants of this board. I will go to bed without dinner tonight! :-)

I never really noticed until other pointed it out. Even then I didn't pay attention to it.

Then perhaps we're all too sensitive? Really! Don't you guys have better things to do than to complain about a "signature"? Geesh.
