|I am shopping for a new road bike...the Mongoose Cipressa seems like a great bargain considering it's titanium frame and practical component spec. I have not been able to ride one yet, and I cannot seem to find any reviews on this site or any others. Has anyone here ridden one or owned one? Any help is greatly appreciated.|

|I have last year's Mongoose RX-10.5. Don't be afraid of the name Mongoose! I have yet to find anyone with a Mongoose titanium road bike that has any buyer's remorse.
The frame is well-made, the component spec speaks for itself, and the decals come off with a heat gun! You're right. It is a bargain for titanium, and unless you're a 250-lb masher, you'll be just fine.

|frames are US made by Sandvik (Oregon? aerospace company).
I more trust them to weld Ti then a bunch of rednecks from Tennessee, I broke Litespeed MTB frame along headtube weld, I'm 140lbs for records

|I have never ridden one myself, but a couple of weeks ago I was riding for almost an hour with a guy that had one. He had been riding road bikes for over 15 years an previously had a Bianchi (not sure of the model), he had his Mongoose for around 6 months. The guy absolutely raved about the ride and handling of the bike. He wasn't a little guy either, I'd guess about 190 or so, but said the bike climbed great and had no problems with stiffness. He bought it at SuperGo, and it was between the Mongoose and Airborne. He seemed very happy with his choice.|| |
