My shop says I should swap out the Campy Record levers for Chorus if I go with a Record groupo. They say the Records feel "flimsy" and "cheap". Apparently even one of the pro riders uses Chorus levers painted black?
I'd appreciate thoughts on these levers.

Thanks

I had a pretty hard crash a few months ago, (front wheel bent, helmet split, muscles torn, etc.) and my left carbon Record lever definitely took a hit. It survived fine. The hard rubber/plastic (whatever it is) hood even had some chunks carved out, but the levers look fine cosmetically, and feel fine structurally. After a six weeks off the bike, I've put in about six hundred miles, and the levers work just like new.
