|Well...I bought my first roadbike this year. About 4 mos ago. I found a great used one with a Frank Wadelton (Frank the Welder) frame and Shimano 105 components. Works well for me.
Today I crashed my first roadbike.
The frame seemed to hold up well though. It doesn't look damaged at all. Bars, cranks, rear wheel, derailleur, pedals, shoes, me - different story.
Funny thing is: I just want to go back out and ride in the same spot, of the same crappy road, to try to correct the mistake I made. Ain't biking grand...

|When I crashed a few months ago, I felt the same way. Unfortunately, it took me five weeks to get back on the bike. Glad to hear the bike's ok, but make sure you check for things like wheels knocked out of true and a bent derailleur hanger.
Cycling's one of the best diseases there is. I hope it keeps getting worse!

|You got your first crash over with and you're no longer a virgin. I hope you got at least one good scar to use as a visual aid when you describe the crash. ;-) Your attitude is great; good luck mastering that stretch of road.|
