Teflon Cables: Hype or Worth It?MeDotOrg

Got an email from Airborne announcing a new brake/shifter cable that is pre-stretched/teflon coated.

Are there really any significant differences in brake/shifter cables? Is it all hype? What are your experiences?

I like teflon brake cables. Started using them on motorcycles. Lubing plain cables always makes a mess. Teflon is smooth as silk and you never fool with it.
