|I'm ready to sell my toy-store MTB and get a road bike.
I have about $700 to spend, and I've been reading reviews of some of the lower-end Trek and Cannondale bikes... Anything's gotta be better than the Toys R Us special sitting in my garage. You sure get what you pay for with those things. Any suggestions? Thanks!

|If you want a nice new bike go with that. If you don't mind used, keep your eyes on ebay or this classified section.|

|18 glowing reviews can't be all wrong. The only thing against the bike is the saddle which is HARD (in a bad way).
I just purchased one (although I'm male :-) and I love it. Mine was $750 but here in Madison there are very few places that sell roadbikes in that price range. They are all either $1200 of $300.
