Tire Warranty?(2 posts)

Tire Warranty?BigMig

Are tires warrantied for defects? My Bianchi is a few months old and the other day I noticed a hurnia on the side of one of the Vittoria tires.

After deflating it to take a look I noticed the rubber had rolled off of a small (1/2")section of the keval bead. I have rode on it a few times and nothing has happened but it would seem to be a problem in waiting.

Could this have been caused by me? I have changed the tube twice on this tire but don't recall having any problems or having to force it.

Thanks

You should replace this tire ASAP. I have found the warranty end of cycling to be a fairly casual deal. I think a case like this would be at the discretion of the bike shop. It is possible that you caused this by overinflating the tire.
