Hey i was wondering ive been watching the tour de france and ive seen people wearing these. there like big glove things that go up their arms. what are they for n why do they wear em? thx.

They are arm warmers, take the place of long sleeves, lots of cycling clothing sell them, Voler does colors. Also come in leg warmers as well.

ARM WARMERS is the most common terminology in the US of A... they can be found almost anywhere in most bike shops. DeFeet "arm skins" are some of the best- they never fall down

They are great when the weather is cool to chilly, but not cold. The ideal way to dress when you're on a long ride and the morning is cool, but the day is warm.
