| Sidi Genius 3, Replacement Heel? | BQ Jul 9, 2001 9:07 AM | | If you have Sidi Genius 3 shoes, you might want to pull out a phillips screwdriver and tighten the screws. I lost my heel over the weekend, so now I walk with a limp. :-(
Any idea where I can get a replacement without having to buy a whole shoe? |

| It has happened to me twice! | Steve Davis Jul 9, 2001 10:50 AM | | The first time it was after only two or three rides. I asked my shop to get Sidi to replace it for free and they did, however a month ago, I lost the second one.
From now on, I'm going to put locktite on the threads.

| ... specifically, Blue Loctite | Akirasho Jul 9, 2001 12:34 PM | | ... lost mine right at the beginning of a ride... and actually found the screw!!! As soon as I got home, I Blue Loctite'd both... and have had no problems since.
Be the bike. |

| Thanks | BQ Jul 9, 2001 11:05 AM | | for the incredibly quick reference to Excel. As usual, this board has solutions!
Seeing that this has happened to others, I don't feel quite so foolish. Alas, that ill can't be wholly cured. When I attached the cleats, it didn't even dawn on me to tighten the screw in the heel. (Forehead slap, Doh!) What the heck was I thinking??? |
